THE GODFATHER OF GIGS
Vince Power venues have staged the best and the biggest music events on the planet for the past quarter of a century.
The Mean Fiddler, the club Power started in 1982, grew into a £60m music empire overseeing the world's leading summer festivals, concert halls, clubs, restaurants and bars.
VPMG ushers in a new era in events for Vince Power following his departure from the Mean Fiddler group. The company is currently in the process of opening a portfolio of exciting new venues:
• A Day at The Hop Farm, a 1 day festival with 1 stage, featuring 7 of the finest acts in music, with the legendary Neil Young topping off an amazing bill.
Based at The Hop Farm in Kent - A Day at The Hop Farm is a truly unique experience, with the event being totally unbranded, no sponsorship, free of registration and without any VIP areas – with the aim of being a festival for the ticket paying, festival goer, returning live music to its roots, where you turn up with your ticket and enjoy the same experience as every other ticket holder. www.hopfarmfestival.com
• Power's Acoustic Room, Recapturing the traditional, homespun spirit of the Mean Fiddler’s Acoustic Room in Harlesden, proprietor Vince Power and designer Shaun Clarkson formally celebrate the opening of their rustic new bar and venue with a series of free gigs designed to warm the cockles of our hearts as we head into the long winter nights. www.powersacousticroom.com
• The Bloomsbury Ballroom, London’s unique and most opulent Art Deco venue has finally reopened. With a stunning design by Shaun Clarkson, our ballroom is one of London’s most exciting new venues. The space itself comprises of an impressive ballroom with its own stage and attached Crush and long bars. The venue comes with its own stage, catering facilities, state of the art lighting and sound systems.
• The Pigalle Club, a spectacular cabaret club in Piccadilly, which opened with a performance by the "Queen of British burlesque" Immodesty Blaize, attracting rave reviews and such stars and celebrities as Jane Russell, Christian Slater, Dita Von Teese, Ben Onono and Alex Kingston from ER and Orlando Bloom.
